Our new art gallery in the bustling heart of Wynwood Art District we specialize in offering a curated selection of contemporary art, hosting dynamic events, and delivering exceptional service to our clients. We’re seeking a motivated and adaptable Administrative Assistant/Sales Associate to join our team. This is an opportunity to be part of a creative, inspiring environment where your contributions directly impact the success of the gallery. Work Schedule: Approximately 4/5 days per week (6–7 hours/day, with more flexibility during live events).
Compensation: starting at $3,300/month salary + 5% commission on personal sales.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory & Online Gallery Management
Assist in the management of our art inventory and overseeing our online gallery and sales platforms, ensuring a seamless digital experience for our clients.
Sales Support
Assist the team in sales activities, engaging with clients, and driving revenue through exceptional service and expertise.
Shipping & Transactions
Assist in the shipping paperwork, manage credit card transactions, and prepare artwork for safe shipment and storage.
Flexibility & Reliability
Adapt to flexible hours during live events, demonstrating punctuality and a proactive attitude.
Requirements
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in a Mac-based environment, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office.
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and knowledge of databases like Artlogic and Artsy are highly preferred.
Language Skills:
Fluency in English is required; knowledge of French is highly preferable.
Professional Experience:
Previous experience in an art gallery or in sales is preferred.
Other Skills:
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, positive attitude, solution-driven person. Sales skills with a client-focused approach.
