Adjective Art & Framing, a leader in the art handling and framing industry throughout New England, is looking for a dedicated Full-Time Art Installer to be part of our dynamic team. Our mission is to provide exceptional art installation services that meet the diverse needs of our clients, ranging from private art collectors to large corporate entities.
The Art Installer will play a crucial role in handling and installing a wide range of art pieces in various settings, including private residences, prestigious galleries, and corporate offices. This position requires a blend of technical skills, creativity, and a passion for art, ensuring each piece is displayed to its fullest potential.
Location: This role requires flexibility to work out of both our Jamaica Plain and Stoughton, MA facilities, with travel to client sites as needed.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Art Installation: Skillfully deliver and install artwork across multiple settings, ensuring each piece is presented according to the client’s vision and space requirements.
Artwork Handling: Utilize industry-standard techniques to handle artwork safely, minimizing risk of damage.
Preparation for Installation: Unpack, inspect, and prepare artwork and installation surfaces meticulously.
Team Collaboration: Work alongside our team of art professionals, contributing to a supportive environment where collaboration ensures the success of each project.
Client Communication: Engage with clients professionally to understand and meet their installation needs.
Requirements
Experience: At least 2 years of relevant experience in art handling and installation.
Art Handling Skills: Proficiency in handling various types of art with an understanding of the unique requirements for different mediums.
Installation Knowledge: A solid grasp of art installation techniques and the use of related tools.
Communication: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and interact with clients.
Project Management: Ability to independently manage multiple projects with precision and attention to detail.
Driving: Valid driver’s license with comfort in operating cargo vans and light trucks for art transportation.
Physical Requirements: The role involves physical activities including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. The ability to safely handle and install artworks of various sizes and weights is essential.
