Adler Beatty is seeking a full-time Gallery Associate. Adler Beatty is an art dealer and art advisory firm offering expertise in Fine Art spanning from Old Masters through Contemporary for private collectors and museums worldwide. Adler Beatty also manages the Ray Johnson Estate.
The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience at an art advisory or gallery and a BA in Art History or a related field, but a MA from an Art Business program is preferred. The Gallery Associate will be a highly motivated individual with a passion for art who will directly support the Chairman and President of Adler Beatty in art sales.
Duties will include:
Conducting art historical research and writing fact sheets on offered artworks.
Monitoring market research on select artists.
Maintain a record of sold or offered artworks.
Managing exhibitions, including preparing checklists and participating in openings.
Managing an inventory of artworks for both Adler Beatty and the personal collections of the Chairman and President.
Coordinating the shipping of artwork.
Assisting the Chairman and President with administrative duties.
Oversee the Chairman’s personal calendar.
Provide personal assistant duties as needed.

The hours will be Monday – Friday, 10 am to 6 pm, with flexibility for occasional Saturdays
