U.S.Art Company, Inc. is recruiting for a General Manager for our Washington, D.C. facility.
The right candidate will bring a senior manager’s vision, high energy, and a long-term commitment to the table. Will have extensive experience in our industry at varying levels so as to bring a broad knowledge base to this position. Keen communication, outgoing personality, desire to meet and build our clientele and team building skills are needed for success in this fast paced environment.
The successful candidate will be able to move into this position, with its existing staff, and establish him/herself as a leader on all fronts, while adapting to our proprietary systems.
Salary is commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities
Management
Ensure overall quality of service for all clients in the Washington, D.C. region.
Coordinate with U.S.Art Corporate on Human Resources: hiring, employee reviews, promotions, bonuses, discipline and terminations.
Sales
Estimate and book work through our proprietary systems.
Monitor sales volumes in the Washington, D.C. region.
Increase sales through networking and client meetings.
Requirements
Minimum of five years in the Art Handling or Museum community.
Minimum of five years in staff and facilities management.
