Hester Street Fair is a community driven marketplace founded in 2010 and operated throughout the city. We are currently looking for crew members for our location at The Seaport on Pier 17.
We are Covid-conscious and follow a Safety Plan made by NYC Safety Guidelines.
Hours
There are two shifts per events
SETUP: 7AM - 11AM
BREAKDOWN: 6PM-9PM
Location
Our venue is outside at 89 South Street/between Pier 17 & Pier 16 down at the Southstreet Seaport. Our storage facility will be located directly across from the venue space at 85 South Street. It is in the basement of the Howard Hughes security building.
Payment
The flat rate for a day is $200 for setup & breakdown. This job pays based on results not by the hour, meaning if you can get your job done fast and efficiently you are still paid $200 and then you have more time off. Payment is net7. Payment can be done via Zelle or Paypal.

*we ask that can be available for every event listed above. More dates between June - October will be announced closer to June.
*If you need to take a weekend off, we ask up 2 weeks advance notice and we appreciate any help on finding coverage if it’s last minute
Bonus
If our crew members have a business/side hustle of their own that they would like to show at our event, we will give you a discounted rate to vend at the fair
Responsibilities
The Hester Street Fair consist of 4 members who will be responsible for:
Meet with our fair manager to discuss the layout
Set up tents, weights, tables, chairs, DJ equipment if knowledgeable
Signage and additional (minimal) decoration if needed
Breakdown the setup at EOD and organize equipment back into the storage unit

Requirements
Ready and willing to work
At least 18 years old
W9
Preferably
Have experience setting up outdoor events
Lives in the Downtown neighborhood or have reliable transportation to the venue -site if you do happen to live farther away
Has a valid driver’s license and can drive storage trucks/vans if needed
Have sound tech experience in case we need help with our DJ setup and/or soundcheck
