Logistics Branch Manager - Los Angeles

We are seeking an experienced professional Logistics Branch Manager to conduct day-to-day and strategic operations at our Los Angeles office.

This position runs operations and staffing out of the California branch, while collaborating with our management team at NYC HQ. We strive to maintain our excellent reputation for storage, local trucking, and installation services, while also expanding our offerings in crating and regional transport. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing a diverse staff, overseeing building operations (aprx 25k-sf), and some experience in fragile goods or specialized commodities. The Details

Position reports to company’s VP-Ops, job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Manage staff in day-to-day operations, ensure quality control through extensive hands-on involvement, direct engagement with ops scheduling & work-flow planning.

  • With support from company’s HR, administer branch’s staffing, including; recruit, interview, on-board, periodic review, employee relations, etc.

  • Serve as company’s West Coast brand ambassador; make regular operational reports to CEO & Sales VP, site-visit & interact with LA area clients as needed.

  • Oversee open/close schedule, manage alarm/keys procedures, act as main point of contact for landlord and CA-based vendors & service providers.

  • Assist Controller with fiscal oversight; manage local bank account, assist HR preparing payroll data.


What You Need to Possess:

  • A self-driven focus on leadership, improvement, and growth; strength in working independently and with timely delivery on management’s initiatives & projects.

  • At lease 3 years of experience in logistics or freight management, with full command of processes and protocol to run a safe & efficient operation.

  • Proven ability with staff recruitment, engagement & retention in an organization with ten or more direct reports.

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Management / Administration and/or Logistics (preferred).

  • Capacity for effective verbal & written communications; proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

  • Excellent leadership skills and good conflict resolution skills.

  • Salary range: $80k to $95K dependent on experience & qualifications.
