We seek an experienced, positive-thinking and organized individual to join our staff as the National Interstate Shuttle Manager.

Primary Job Description:

The National Interstate Shuttle Manager will oversee the coast-to-coast shuttle arm of our thriving fine-arts logistics operation. This is a full-time, in-office position based in our Los Angeles area branch in Vernon CA. The position reports to the Directors of the LA, SF, and NY branches of G&W USA, and works closely with our National Fleet Manager; LA/SF/NY Branch Domestic Project Managers/Shuttle Coordinators; LA/SF/NY Branch Local Dispatchers; LA/SF/NY Branch Local Warehouse Managers; LA/SF/NY Branch Local Packing/Crating Managers; Interstate Shuttle Driver Teams; G&W US Clientele.

In addition to a full-time salary, benefits include health insurance, 401K retirement plan, and paid holidays/sick days. A company phone may also be provided.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and run G&W shuttle operations working in close conjunction with the LA/SF/NY branches

  • Hire, train, and manage qualified CDL driver teams for expedited interstate transportation

  • Maintain Driver Qualification files and programs

  • Manage and maintain all interstate trucking permits and regulations

  • Work closely with National Fleet Manager on DQ files and interstate permits

  • Work closely with National Fleet Manager on fleet maintenance and insurance requirements

  • Manage individual shuttle loads and volumes; ensure fair branch space allocations and guard against overbookings

  • Oversee shuttle bookings

  • Coordinate shuttle scheduling; liaise with local branch dispatchers on collections and delivery scheduling

  • Liaise with local branch shuttle coordinators on booking and billing shuttle shipments

  • Oversee shuttle billing and branch revenue disbursements

  • Adhere to company booking, administrative, inventory, and clerical procedures and practices

  • Absorb and adhere to company credit, billing, procedural and other fiscal policies

Requirements

● Experience working in operations management at a fine art logistics company, trucking or supply chain logistics provider, or similar environment preferable.

● Thorough knowledge of fine art handling, packing, crating, storage and rigging techniques preferred

● Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, G&W proprietary Eos System and working knowledge of database programs.

● Strong organizational and problem solving skills.

● Thorough attention to detail.

● Strong writing and communication skills.

● Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently, interacting in a professional manner with co-workers, vendors and clients.

● Available to work occasional evenings and weekends.
