Compensation:
Minimum $28/hr + benefits, additional dependent on experience
Full Time, but flexible schedule
Primary Responsibilities:
Quality control for all aspects of shop production from softpack to crating
Analyze artwork and determine optimal methods for safe packing
Design interior and exterior of fine art crates and convey information clearly to team
Coordinate between the office and shop to manage a small team of craters/packers
Keep accurate records for all shop jobs
Perform inspections of artwork and complete condition reports
Travel to clients’ homes and businesses to assess job needs and inspect artwork and on-site logistics
Secondary Responsibilities:
Load & unload crates and supplies at facility
Maintain tool and material inventory
Plan out and keep records of tool and facility maintenance, safety inspections, etc.
Keep track of outgoing/incoming shipments on a day-to-day basis
Perform all duties of art handler / crater / packer “swing” in warehouse and on the road as-needed
Candidate must have extensive professional experience in the art handling field and familiarity with industry standard methods of art packing and crating
Must be comfortable operating a forklift or willing to be promptly trained
Must be able to lift heavy sheet goods safely.
Must be able to effectively communicate with the team as well as clients
Must be vaccinated for COVID-19
