All applicants must have a MINIMUM of 5 years experience in the art handling industry (art handling companies, museums, galleries, or artist studios) AND be an experienced NYC driver comfortable driving commercial vehicles of various sizes (minimum a high roof cargo van) with a clean and valid standard class D license (no CDL needed).

Requirements:

• Trucking experience with knowledge of NYC truck routes and height clearances. Ability to safely secure and transport a truckload. (If you have no truck driving experience, please state so on your application)

• Familiar with packing artwork in multiple ways, such as shadowboxes, travel-frames, crate pack outs, and cardboard slip casing.

• Can complete detailed paperwork.

• Ability to multi-task.

• Work hours are generally 8am-5pm, but comfortable with occasional early morning and late-night work for the breakdown and transfer of sales from a major auction house. Artworks vary greatly from Asian antiques, Old Master paintings to contemporary art.

• Be able to work with a large crew. We have a highly skilled crew consisting of mostly young artists.

• Knowledge of art is preferred.
