We are currently seeking a dynamic and passionate Part-Time Sales Associate to join our team. As a Sales Associate, you will play a key role in assisting clients, showcasing artworks, and driving sales within our gallery.
Responsibilities
Greet and engage with clients in a courteous and professional manner.
Provide personalized assistance and guidance to clients in selecting artworks that meet their preferences and interests.
Showcase artworks effectively, highlighting their unique features and artistic value.
Maintain a deep understanding of the artists and artworks represented in the gallery, providing insights and information to clients.
Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, utilizing our point-of-sale system.
Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the gallery space.
Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and promote gallery events and exhibitions.
Stay updated on industry trends, art market developments, and gallery promotions.
Requirements
Previous experience in retail sales, preferably within the art industry.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and establish positive relationships with clients.
Passion for art and a keen eye for aesthetic quality.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in handling sales transactions.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Knowledge of art history and contemporary art movements is a plus.
