Registrar full-time
Galerie Jan Kaps in Cologne is looking for a full-time registrar (m/f/d) to join our team as soon as possible.
Jan Kaps has been representing internationally renowned artists for over ten years. The steadily growing gallery program currently includes 14 artists and an artist’s estate. The gallery organizes temporary exhibitions at its main location in Cologne and collaborates with international partners. Jan Kaps also participates in international art fairs every year, including Art Basel in Hong Kong, Basel and Miami.

Salary depends on experience. The position starts on November 1, 2024 and has growth potential. The starting date is flexible.
Responsibilities
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Organization of international art shipments, including customs clearance
Communication with artists and clients
Maintenance and management of databases
Handling loan transactions, including contracts
Planning the set-up and dismantling of exhibitions and fairs
Receiving and storing deliveries
Coordinating technicians and managing the art warehouse
Requirements
WHAT YOU BRING
Strong interest in contemporary art
Professional experience as a registrar or in logistics
Fluent in German and English
High level of responsibility in handling artworks
IT skills (Mac OS X, MS Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, etc.)
Experience with databases
Open and communicative personality with a professional demeanor
Independent, flexible, and detail-oriented work ethic
Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
Strong organizational skills and reliability
Effective teamwork and communication skills
Holder of Class B driving license
