We provide museum-quality storage, transit, installation /de-installation of artwork and artifacts to many of the world’s finest museums, institutions, private collectors, corporations, and galleries. We are looking for full time Art handlers that appreciate the value of art and can deliver outstanding customer service for our clients.
Responsibilities
What you’ll do:
Professionally install/de-install artwork (2-D and 3-D) and other high value objects in a variety of settings
Pack and crate artwork in a professional manner for safe transportation
Transportation of artwork and high value objects using company vehicles (box truck, sprinter vans, etc.)
Complete bill of lading, material usage sheets, condition reports, site visit forms, and other critical paperwork with a high attention to detail
Work on storage and inventory projects on off peak work days
Requirements
Requirements/Skills & Experience:
Experience in handling, packing and crating high value 2-D and 3-D art objects for both transportation and storage.
Experience in installation techniques: including tools, materials and the ability to install flatwork, grids, and three-dimensional works.
A clear understanding of fine art inspection including the ability to create accurate and detailed condition reports.
Familiarity with Bill of Lading, Condition Reports, Inventory, etc.
Demonstrated ability to use an i-pad and computer for cataloging inventories and processing artwork
Clean Driving Record
Must be at least 21 Years Old
Physical ability to lift, unload and carry items up to 10-150 lbs. in various weather conditions and environments
Ability to take direction and work in a team environment
Ability to interpret and follow detailed instructions
Must be able to respond quickly and tactfully to last minute requests
