Greene Naftali Gallery in Chelsea is seeking an art handler with a passion for the arts, to work with an energetic team in a fast-paced environment. Must have the ability to work well with others and maintain a professional demeanor under pressure. Must be able to prioritize and multi-task. This would be a Tuesday through Saturday position.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Ensuring the safety of all artworks.
Gallery maintenance and repairs, including taking out garbage, sweeping and mopping floors.
Cleaning and maintaining our outdoor courtyard.
patching walls and painting walls.
Ordering of packing, shipping, and installation supplies as needed.
Receiving shipments of artworks.
Installation/de-installation of artworks as needed for viewings and exhibitions.
Executing condition reports with our registrars.
Properly storing works and organizing storage
Updating our database.
Requirements
At least 1 year minimum experience required.
