Hangman is currently looking for positive and hard-working driver/art handlers to operate our cross country and regional art shuttles. Born out of our love for art, music and traveling, Hangman is a fast-growing art services/transportation company based in Brooklyn, NY with satellite offices in Los Angeles, CA and Miami, FL.
Responsibilities
Solo operation and management of vehicle and cargo
Use of electronic logging device and associated software
Use of Hangman software during the course of work
Safe packing and unpacking artworks of various types
Safely moving art onto and off of Hangman vehicles
Safely securing art on trucks
Assisting/performing art installation
Client interactions
Performs other duties as req’d
Punctual and communicative
Availability to operate at least one 7-10 day shuttle run per month
Requirements
1+ year art handling OR art transport experience
Packing experience
Art installation experience
Previous experience at an art services company, museum, or gallery
Ability to safely lift 40-50lbs individually
Valid/clean drivers’ license req’d
Ability to drive up to 26’ box truck
Ability to work independently
Basic knowledge of mechanical functioning of diesel trucks
Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance as necessary (i.e. checking fluids, tires, identifying and managing vehicle issues as they arise)
Knowledge of DOT regulations and electronic logging device usage a plus
Knowledge of US highway system a plus
Knowledge of art, music and travel a plus
