Caldwell Snyder Gallery seeks an experienced Art Preparator to facilitate all aspects of managing art inventory, registration, preparation, shipping and installation operations.
Responsibilities
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage receiving, preparations and shipments of artworks.
Maintaining inventory and records on in-house database.
Facilitate gallery exhibitions, art fairs and client’s home showings.
Facilitate intra-gallery stock transfers of artwork between three galleries.
Manage gallery lighting and light appliances.
Providing logistical support to staff, clients and artists as needed
Oversee basic gallery and warehouse maintenance including wall tough-ups.
Oversee delivery vehicle maintenance.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma required
Experience in the art handling industry, packing, and installing of works within California.
Inventory processes, logistical, warehousing and moving experience.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Must have CA drivers license and good driving records.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
