Established fine art photographer in Sausalito CA seeks a highly organized, detail-oriented individual to oversee digital workflow, print production, studio management, and occasional assistance with location photography shoots. Please have a minimum of two years relevant work experience. Position is 16-24 hours (two – three days) per week, with possibility of additional hours. Flexible scheduling.
Responsibilities
Photography- Digital photo editing and retouching, etc: dusting, color balancing, sharpening and other image editing tasks.- Print production: Command of digital pigment printing technology, including ability to manage production of outsourced digital c prints.- Galleries: coordinate requests from various galleries; print sales, press info, digital files.- Scanning: scan press, negatives, chromes, etc., using Flextight scanner.- Website: update and maintain- Exhibitions: coordinate production of prints, mounting, framing, and delivery. Manage requests for bio, essays, and press images.- Archive: organize negatives, chromes, and digital files. Exacting digital organization.- Inventory: maintain inventory of prints; update database and galleries; order studio and digital supplies- Fed-Ex, shipping, and mail: handle packing and shipping requests.- Project management in design, research and administration- Art handling of large scale paintings and photographs.
Requirements
Digital skills- Mac OS X Monterey, Mojave- Adobe Photoshop CS6 and CC, including adjusting image color and tonality using curves, color balancing, sharpening, etc.- Generate proofs and prints to highest standards. Making selections using masks, utilizing Photoshop actions, working with basic text and design elements.- Adobe CC: Photoshop, In Design, Illustrator, Premiere, Acrobat- Eye-One Color Management- Epson Large Format Printing, P20000- Microsoft Office Suite- WordPress website administration.
