We seek an experienced, positive-thinking and organized individual to join our staff as CDL-A Interstate Shuttle Driver/Handler.

Team Driving and OTR

PAID THE MILE AND PAID BY THE HOUR (see below

STOPS PAID AND PAID MEALS (see below)

$100 per day road per diem

PAY: $26.00 -$30.00 per hour (paid weekly), depends on experience

Paid by the mile $0.50-$0.55, depends on experience

SCHEDULE: Tuesday – Monday- Plus Overtime and Travel is required

Taxis/round-trip airfare and travel time pay eligible for out-of-area applicants

HOURS: as needed

LOCATION : Los Angeles

Responsibilities

Safely operate and drive G&W tractor-trailer and other trucks/vehicles as needed

Handle and move packaged and unpackaged artworks

Load/unload trucks to ensure safe transit.

Plan the organization and packing of trucks to ensure utmost safety of objects during transit.

Maintain all CDL-A compliances and licenses/cards

Complete daily forms, and document status and scope of work in progress.

Organize and maintain operational tools and materials.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience.

Knowledge and interest in fine art, decorative art and/or design preferred.

Demonstrated knowledge of industry standard packing, crating, and installation techniques and materials.

Clean driving record

Detail oriented: thorough, organized, accurate and productive in work.

Must be a team player, with the ability to lead and effectively communicate instructions.

Must be self-motivated and able to work well under pressure

2 + years’ experience within the fine arts transportation or specialized removals industry preferred.

Valid CDL-A driver’s license.

Clean personal and previous employment.

Able to travel to regional locations for onsite work.

Must be willing to work flexible hours

Physical Requirements : lifting, moving, heavy objects (in excess of 75 lbs), bending, kneeling, crouching, etc. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift a min. of 50lbs on their own.

Travel Requirements :

12 days on the road per month, minimum

May work locally depending on availability/scheduling

Licenses & Certifications Required : CDL-A; DOT medical card, no serious driving violations

Qualifications :

Minimum Education: High School Degree

Minimum Experience: 2 Years
