Responsible for managing the social media and digital aspects for Denniston Hill. Builds and sustains communication, followers, and helps develop and carry out a comprehensive content strategy.

Hourly rate of $35.00. Expected average 20 hours/month.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities:

Manage Denniston’s Hill mission and voice through out social media platforms; Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook

Create rich and creative content that is optimized for search engines

Contact artist, community members as needed

Communicate upcoming events/programming with appropriate platforms (art platforms, event calendars, social media outlets)

Attend events, aid in documenting and promoting on social media

Develop campaigns working closely with funding, programs, and residency campaigns

Delivery and package image/content request from grantees

Add and cooperate on publications such as newsletters, releases, email announcements, special projects and assignments.

Track social media growth, challenges and changes

Requirements

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Has working knowledge of arts and cultural sector

Familiarity with key theoretical concepts related to cultural production, social justice, and land equity movements. We are especially interested in approaches to social media that illuminate and critique its political uses

Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to perform compelling presentations

Possesses a working knowledge of how to create original digital content preferably through Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Canva, etc.

Shows the ability to effectively engage in social media activities, including video sharing and blogging, commenting/following as relevant and appropriate.

Has awareness of digital accessibility needs and applications

Has constant and up to date knowledge of changing and updating digital media trends

Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal skills, leadership and management skills

Possesses strong organizational abilities and is highly detail oriented, working collaboratively and remotely is a must

Exhibits superior critical thinking and analytical skills

Familiar with working on Google platforms, Slack, Squarespace and MailChimp
