The Brooklyn Rail is looking to hire 1-2 people to deliver our newspaper around the 5 boroughs of NYC on a ~monthly basis. Must have immediate availability.
Responsibilities
Deliver newspapers to 50 spots around NYC, which include community spaces, galleries, cultural institutions, grocery stores & coffee shops
Communicate excellently with our distribution partners as you go about your job to to ensure safe delivery and sound relationship
Be our eyes and ears on the ground to understand how distribution is going and relay back to Rail team
Represent the spirit of the Rail excellently: be respectful, kind and communicative, support artists, non-conformists & people from all walks of life
Requirements
Must have a drivers license in good standing
Must be able to life & load a high volume of 25 lb packages
Must have logistics experience, ideally in NYC
Must have a large van + insurance
Must love culture + want to support artists
