POV is currently hiring a production assistant. 30 hours per week to start. This is intended to be a permanent position, with the possibility of eventually moving up to being the production manager for our studio. The ideal candidate will have a relentless attention to detail, the ability to take notes and learn fast. Our studio is a fast paced production environment with very little room for errors.
If hired, you will initially be the assistant to our studio manager, and will be cross trained in a wide range of functions including, but not limited to:
Daily Maintenance of Printers
Job Intake and Receiving
Labeling, Organizing, and Managing Job Locations
Prepress and File Prep
Loading and Unloading Printers
Loading and Unloading Artwork for Scanning
Fine Art Packing
Coordinating with Purchasing Department for Incoming Materials
Things you need to know and be able to show - Mandatory:
Adobe Photoshop | With a focus on Photo Editing or Printing | Min 3 years
How to properly resize images for print
The English Language, fluently, with proper grammar - minus emojis and acronyms.
Things that could put you ahead of the pack:
Professional experience handling print making paper or fine art papers
Experience running large format printers
Production coordination experience
Experience in a Print Production Studio
