Greene Naftali is looking for a dynamic, highly organized, and self-motivated candidate to fill the role of Production Manager. This is a key position within the gallery’s Operations Department. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, resourceful, extremely attentive to detail, and have a demonstrated ability to multitask all while working in a fast-paced environment and prioritizing multiple projects.
Key Tasks
Work closely with Directors to coordinate gallery exhibitions and art fairs
Develop relationships with gallery artists to help realize projects
Coordinate exhibition design including architectural models, sketches, and displays
Manage the production of artist projects for exhibitions at the gallery and other venues
Produce 2D and 3D models for gallery exhibitions and art fairs
Act as the main liaison with the gallery’s off-site IT company
Oversee Audio/Visual components to gallery exhibitions
Maintain thorough records of production vendors, methods, and expenses
Assist the Director of Operations with managing gallery facilities, construction, remodeling, and general gallery appearance
Order and maintain stock of specialty hardware & equipment
Special projects as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher
Demonstrated interest in and knowledge of contemporary art
Proficiency in 3D modeling (Rhinoceros, Sketch-up, or similar)
Proficiency in Adobe CS & Microsoft Office
Minimum of 5 years of art handling and/or production experience
Mastery of proper handling and storage of artwork, from paintings to new-media
Willingness to work additional hours and travel as needed
Excellent creative problem-solving skills
Knowledge of fabrication materials, methods, and vendors
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
